Manufacturing Engineer

Supervises:  N/A

Preferred Education and Experience:

1. Bachelors of Science in Manufacturing Engineering or Related Field
2. Experience in an automotive related field preferred
3. Around 5 years engineering experience in mechanical field, with basic understanding of electrical controls.
4. Understanding GD&T, basic understanding of fix/jigs concept
5. Good written and spoken English is preferred
6. Evidence of good problem solving skills
7. Evidence of data driven continuous improvement
8. Understand Quality tools: SPC, PFMEA….
9. Experience with metal-forming or metal properties or automotive parts is recommended

Duties include, but not limited to, the following:

• NPI — Cooperate with program team and engineering team to secure launch program smoothly by participating tooling and fixture design and runoff and other tasks assigned through Shape Launch System
• NPI — Develop/Approval machine set up manuals and operation standardized works
• Process improvement – Provide technical support to manufacturing. Address and follow up corrective actions driven from weekly production meeting.
• Continuous Improvement — Benchmarking other facilities to identify technical best practice, follow up implementation status in shape china.
• Other tasks assigned by head of department
