ABOUT THE POSITION
Responsible for operating the metal stamping press to ensure that all parts produced meets the customer’s quality standards.
Skills and Experiences
Essential Job Functions Include:
- Operate stamping press in a safe manner adhering to all safety and quality standards
- Complete packaging and labeling of parts following the standard
- Conduct quality part checks as directed by the standard or leader
- Identify and distinguish between proper coil stock and components needed for jobs
- Adhere to all safety standards, in particular the stamping lock out system
- Adhere to proper handling and loading of coil stock and components
- Communicate with the leader, co-workers and other operators informing them of trends, quality updates and potential problems
- Identify and communicate safety issues, suggestions for improvements, identify unsafe conditions and poor safety practices
- Use the Plex computer system to conduct production data entry
- Pull the cord and stop the production process in the event of a safety, quality or processing issue
- Troubleshoot press, equipment and product problems, enlist the assistance of the Leader or maintenance as needed
- Maintain housekeeping standards
- Meet or exceed productivity standards
- Additional functions not specifically outlined in this position description as directed by the leader

- High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED)
- Previous experience operating stamping press(es) with progressive dies and transfer dies preferred
