Shape in the Community
At Shape we realize our company and associates are members of a much larger community. We take great care as a family to give back and support those organizations and individuals that need assistance, donating time, talents and funds through Shape volunteer programs and initiatives. As a company, we have always been a West Michigan leader in corporate responsibility.

United Way
The Shape United Way campaign in a pacesetter for our area. As a testament to our commitment to the community, the United Way honored Shape with the R. Neal Stanton Lifetime Volunteer Achievement Award. Shape was also honored with the G.W. Haworth Strength of the Community Award for our involvement not only in the campaign, but in the community. Each year, a special committee runs the United Way campaign within Shape, and several Shape associates volunteer with the Ottawa County United Way to determine how donated funds are allocated. During our 2007 campaign, our participation rate was 65%, and our contributions were up 30% from 2006!
Financial
Shape’s record of financial health is impressive – not only is the company strong in the midst of an economic slowdown and upheaval in the automotive and manufacturing industries, but Shape has awarded a quarterly bonus for 24 of the 25 years since the bonus program began. The bonus program is tied to key measures such a safety incidents, scrap and quality PPM. The better Shape-NetShape performs, the higher the bonus. By tying an incentive to our key measures, associates are driven to finding ways to improve our performance, while families and the community benefit from more resources in the local community.
Shape’s solid financial footing allows us to expand our reach globally to meet customer demand. Shape-NetShape has various operations in Japan, Mexico, China, India, Korea, Germany and Poland.
