Commitment to Our Associates
Shape cares for the well-being of our associates in many ways – through health programs, training opportunities, a safe working environment and volunteer experiences.
Fitness and Wellness
Shape is committed to the health of our workforce. To proactively maintain both the physical and mental health of our associates, the Shape Family Wellness program has been established. The program focuses on the people of Shape by providing the tools and knowledge to lead a healthy, well-balanced lifestyle. Each element of the program empowers associates and emphasizes preventative health, including an on-site fitness facility, a wellness rewards program, free on-site wellness coaching, group exercise classes, workshops and industry expert led classes focused on the areas of nutrition, stress management and tobacco cessation.
Progressively focusing on the health of our associates has led to the Shape Family Wellness program being one of the first companies in the nation to earn a bronze HealthLead accreditation, recognizing Shape’s leadership in advancing employee health and well-being. Additional recognition of the program includes; appearing in Leading by Example, a national work site publication of Partnership for Prevention; program recognition at The National Wellness Conference in Stevens Point Wisconsin; and the American Cancer Society’s Silver Five-Star Investor award.
Associate Development
Our commitment to our associates’ growth and development begins the instant they walk in the door. Our extensive orientation program acclimates associates to their new positions and the company. A variety of continuous development programs are offered at Shape to keep associates challenged, interested and motivated. On-the-job training, in-house classes, seminars, book clubs and tuition reimbursement are available to all associates. Manufacturing Careers can be advanced through Department of Labor apprenticeship programs in one of four trades: machine repair, tool and die, roll form expert and industrial electrician. Shape offers an industry-leading tuition reimbursement program that applies to associate, bachelor and master level courses. With each of these opportunities and prospect to expand, we aim to provide endless opportunities for development and growth.
Helping Hand
A special committee within Shape, the Helping Hand Committee, volunteers at events to raise money and collect donations, which is put into a fund to help Shape families in times of need. The Helping Hand Committee addresses concerns as they occur and decides what kind of assistance to provide. They also run annual programs, such as the Helping Hand Christmas program, which provides gifts for Shape families that may be having financial difficulties. Shape believes that helping our community, also means taking care of our own associates and helping them through difficult times.
