Shape Corp. Wins 7th GM Supplier of the Year Award

GRAND HAVEN, Mich., June 5, 2009 – For the seventh time in eight years, Shape received GM’s Supplier of the Year Award. This year, it was presented in the GM Heritage Center in Warren, MI.

The award goes to suppliers who exceed standards in quality, service and price.

“We received this award again due to the hard work and dedication of our associates in 2008,” said Rob Weykamp, vice president of the GM Business Unit. “Winning this requires a team effort, excellent quality and delivery from manufacturing, alignment with GM on our business plan, as well as personal support and service to plants and engineering centers from our sales, engineering, and launch teams.”

Weykamp went on to say, “Despite a difficult year for GM in 2008, they indicated that a key factor in their recovery is to align with the best suppliers on a global basis. As their recovery unfolds in 2009, Shape will continue to offer GM the support that will enable both companies to prosper in the future.”
