Shape Corp. Training Program Ranked 37th in 2011

GRAND HAVEN, MICH.- Training Magazine’s 2011 Training Top 125 results are in, and Shape ranks 37th this year.

The 2011 year has shown improvement from the past years’ rankings, moving up from 98th in 2009 and 46th in 2010. Last week Matt Stierwalt, employee development manager and Nathan Vannoy, instructional designer traveled to San Diego, Calif. to accept the award on behalf of Shape.

Shape’s program rose above several companies this year including; Steelcase, MetLife, Bank of America, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Mastercard and more.

“Part of what separates Shape’s training program from others is the validation of an associate’s skills and knowledge through applied training and through intensive knowledge and performance,” said Doug Peterson, VP of human resources.

The Training Top 125 award internally and externally validates Shape’s training program. Award winners are ranked based on evaluation procedures and internal best practices of each company’s employer-sponsored training and development programs.

Shape’s improvement in ranking can be partially attributed to maintaining the company’s investment in associates. While many companies are cutting back on funding for their training programs, Shape continues to put associates first by maintaining a strong investment in the training program.
