Shape Corp. Receives Two Awards from Honda

GRAND HAVEN, MICH.- Honda presented Shape Corp. with the 2010 Excellence in Value Award Wednesday, June 22, honoring the overall value of the two companies’ business relationship.

Phillip Woolley, senior management from Honda’s new model purchasing division, presented the award and acknowledged the successes of the business relationship with Honda. Additionally, Shape will receive its ninth consecutive Quality and Delivery Supplier Award from the service division of America Honda Motors this summer.

Out of 250 North American suppliers, Shape was one of 14 companies to be honored by Honda with the Excellence in Value Award. The award criteria is based on the overall value of the business relationship including; product design, launch success, manufacturing alignment, VA refinement, mass production manufacturing support and service parts supply. To be nominated for the award, a supplier must support the impacted Honda division, including the research and development center and all of the North American manufacturing plants.
